ENGINE
There are two types of engine:-
1. External Combustion (E.C) Engine
2. Internal Combustion (I.C) Engine
3. Turbocharged Engine
EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE.
The engine in which the combustion of fuel takes place outside of the engine is called External Combustion COMBUSTION ENGINE. Engine. In this type of engine, we can use all solid, liquid and gases fuel. In this type of engine, the heat which is produced by the burning of fuel is used to convert the water or other low boiling temperature fluid into steam. This high-pressure steam is used to rotate a turbine. This types of engine are used in locomotive, luggage trains, ships, or for generating electricity, etcThere are two main families of external combustion engines, a steam engine which relies on expanding steam to drive a mechanism; or Stirling engines which use hot air. The use of this technology is less nowadays because the engine is that a large area of the heat exchanger is necessary to transmit heat into the working cylinder and also reject heat at the end of the cycle.
Here are a few diagrams and image of both the engine

Now let's talk about INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE.
B. INTERNAL COMBUSTION (I.C) ENGINE.
It is an engine where the combustion of fuel takes place inside the cylinder of the engine. When the fuel is burned inside the engine-cylinder, it generates high temperature and pressure. This high-pressure force is exerted on the piston (A device which moves freely inside the cylinder and transmits the pressure force to crank by use of connecting rod), which used to rotate the wheels of the vehicle. In this engine, we can use only gases and high volatile fuel like petrol, diesel. These engines are generally used in automobile industries, generation of electric power, etc.
In an internal combustion engine, there are two types of engine.
A. Two Stroke Engine
B. Four Stroke Engine
In Two Stroke engine, a piston moves one time up and down inside the cylinder and complete revolution during a single time of fuel burn. This type of engine has high torque compared to the four-stroke engine. These are generally used in scooters, pumping sets, etc
In Four Stroke engine, the piston moves two times up and down inside the cylinder and complete two crankshaft revolutions during a single time of fuel burn. This type of engine has a high average compared to the two-stroke engine. These are generally used in bikes, cars, truck, etc.
3. Turbocharged Engine
In this type of engine, intake air pressure is increased by the use of a turbine compressor driven by the exhaust gases of burning fuel.
